This week I am on Fall Break! Yea! Addison and I have had a lot of fun playing dress-up, playing with her toys, having a fun playdate with friends, and going to the zoo. It is so much fun to be able to spend so much time with her! Addison has definitely been into dressing up lately. She has an interesting fashion sense sometimes-wants to wear a tutu everywhere and a lot of bows, headbands or clips in her hair at all times! And we can't forget her "adventure hat!"

Addison loves grandpa!

Grandpa was in town on business last week and we had a great time together! We hung out on Tuesday and Friday night and all day Saturday. On Saturday we went to the Adams Avenute Street Fair. It was hot, but Addison had a great time dancing of course and getting her face painted for the first time! Addison had a great time with her grandpa!

It doesn't take much for Addison to dance-she can even dance to a band warming up!

Addison and I took a short trip to Texas last weekend so that I could throw a baby shower for one of my best friends, Caryn. It was a lot of travelling for such a short time, but Addison did a great job! She loved seeing my mom, sisters and relatives! Thanks for taking care of her while I was at the shower!

23 Months

How can it be possible that Addison will be 2 in just 1 short month? I was looking at her 1 year old birthday invitation when preparing to send out this year's birthday invitation and she looked like such a baby last year. She is such a big girl now! Addison has such a fun personality! Last week she wanted to wear a tutu to her babysitter's 2 days in a row and then on Friday she wanted 6 bows in her hair! She is really into dressing up these days! I have 1 more week of work and then am on Fall Break for 2 weeks! I can't wait to spend the time with her! Addison has been a little stinker at her babysitter's house the past couple of weeks. She has been climbing out of her pack and play at nap time and then going and saying "Wake up!" to all the other kids! We have been talking about playing quietly if she wakes up and then asking to "Get out please," when she is ready to get out. She did all that on Friday, so hopefully it will continue!

Addison is always singing and it amazes me how we will be listening to music in the car and all of the sudden she will just bust out and sing the whole chorus! She knows so many songs!

She is into pretend play a lot and loves to pretend she's a baby and will crawl around and pretend-cry and want me to feed her milk.

The tantrums have been a lot less this month and she's being a very good listener. She is very independent and says "I do it" a lot! We just love her more each day and love this stage that she's in now!

Happy 23 months Addison!

We had a fun long weekend. Addison and I were girly and painted her toenails for the 1st time. She loved it! She also loved wearing her tutu and wings around the house. Today we went to a fun park by Santee Lake. It's nice to all be home together!
