We have been doing an ocean/beach theme this month. Here are some of our activities!

Addison singing "I'm a little fishy." I am so bummed that I ran out of space on my camera and it cut off the end of the song! I tried to get her to do it later, but of course, she didn't want to!

Wow this past month has flown by! Addison continues to be a spunky, talkative, sweet little girl. Here are some of the things she's doing now.

*Addison continues to be very verbal and is now putting 2-4 words together in sentences. She's been saying "uh-huh" a lot lately as well as "mommy/daddy look!" Addison constantly amazes us with her memory and that she will either remember a word that we told her once, or she'll bring up something that happened weeks ago (sometimes it's hard for us to remember!).

*Addison is a picky eater some days and eats great others. It just depends. She's really developed her daddy's sweet tooth lately and seems to ask for a cupcake, donut or ice cream all the time!

*Addison is wearing some size 18 months and some size 24 months clothes and size 6 shoe.

*She still weighs 26 lbs. (and has for quite awhile now).

*Addison is constantly on the go still and continues to get a lot of bumps and scrapes, for which we always have to put bandaids on and "kiss it" (about 50 times a day!)

*I think we are getting a little taste of the terrible twos lately. Addison is starting to hit when we tell her no or take her away from something she likes. We have been doing time-outs and it doesn't seem to help, so we are going to try maybe taking a favorite toy away to see if that helps (any suggestions?). She knows it's wrong because she will hit and then immediately say "ahhh (and hug you) sorry mommy." We just need her to not hit in the first place!

*However, despite those small instances, Addison continues to bring such smiles to our faces. She is such a happy, friendly girl and continues to sing and dance her way through life, which just melts my heart!

We love you so much, Addison! Happy 21 months!!

We started swimming lessons this week. They are twice a week for the month of July. Addison likes them so far! She's not a big fan of putting her face in or getting her ears wet, but she's doing great with her "big kicks!"

We had a fun day including a parade in the morning and Lake Murray 4th of July Fest in the afternoon. Addison has been sick this past week and is still not feeling that great, but she managed to have a good time!
