The Next American Idol?

Probably not, but this girl loves to sing (except when I get the camera out!). All the way to and from work/daycare everyday, at dinner, in the bath, while playing. She has a song in her heart and it just makes me smile every time! Here is her rendition of Elmo's song during dinner tonight.

Planting flowers

This weekend Chris had a surf contest all day Saturday and then was writing a paper all day Sunday(yea for last class of his Masters!), so Addison and I had a flower-themed weekend. We did a craft, sang some flower songs, read some flower books, ate some flower things, and went on a flower hunt! It was a success!

Happy 18 months!

Funny, happy, independent, verbal, silly, always singing and dancing, strong opinions, empathetic, observant, studious, curious, fearless, are just some of the words that describe you this month. You are such a wonderful 18 month old, Addison. I can't believe you're half-way to 2 already!

We love you!

Happy Easter!!

Trying mommy's creation (which ended up looking more like a mouse than a bunny!)

So excited to find eggs!

Going on an Easter egg hunt at church

Look what I found in my Easter basket!

Very messy and fun egg-dying!

My attempts at having a creative lunch with fish sticks, cheese toast, raisins, green beans and avocado!

Loving Bailey the dog!

Dying Easter eggs with Cian and Cadhla and my good friend, Kim.

We have had a fun weekend! On Saturday, we went to dye Easter eggs and have an egg hunt with friends. Addison was having too much fun playing with their toys and dogs that she did not want to dye eggs, so we dyed some at home later that evening. I tried to be creative again and we've done a few crafts and I made hot-crossed buns and some fun lunches for Addison. Happy Easter-He is risen!!

Spring Break Part 2

This picture says it all-we were exausted after our fun trip!

Doesn't she look like such a big kid in this picture?

Love riding bikes!

Looking at the lions at the zoo.

We just got back from a fun family vacation in Santa Barbara. There were a couple of challenges-a long, traffic-filled drive up there and 2 nights without sleep (Addison had a tough time sleeping in a new place with a different bed), but overall it was a great trip! Santa Barbara is beautiful and it is a great place to bring kids because there is a park on every corner. We went to 5 parks, to the zoo, rode a carousel, went to the beach, rode our bikes all over, went to a Farmer's Market and went to a great children's museum. It was a fun little getaway! Now we are resting up and enjoying our last few days of Spring Break-boo!
