Christmas

Cousin Katie is so much fun!

This blue pot has been my favorite present so far. Maybe I'll love to cook like mommy!

Striking a pose!

Pretty Christmas dress!

I love my new farm puzzle from Great-Grandma (aka Gi-Gi)

Such cute new clothes!

I love playing with my new bus!

I like my new book Aunt Gail!

Going "grocery shopping"

Fun at the Science Center with Daddy, mommy and grandpa

We had a fun-filled Christmas this year visiting with Chris' dad and family, my dad and Chris' mom and family. I didn't do a very good job in the picture department, but we had a great time! Addison loved seeing all her relatives and we missed seeing all of our Texas family and friends. Most importantly, we enjoyed being together as our little family and celebrating Jesus' birth.

Pigtails!

Mommy decided to put my hair in pigtails this morning for church. I wasn't very still, so they looked a little messy, but don't I just look precious?

Christmas Cheer

Reaching for mommy and daddy!
Decorating the tree with lots of drool!

Picking out our tree!

We have the Christmas spirit around here! I have it especially, because as of Friday, I have 3 weeks vacation-yippee! Addison loves the Christmas decorations, the lights on the tree and any inflatable Christmas character that we see! She is so much fun this year at Christmas time! She has a Nativity scene in her room and loves to carry around Baby Jesus and say "BABY!!!!" Her favorite Christmas songs are "Away in a Manger" and "Jingle Bells." Our trip to visit Santa ended in tears, but she quickly recovered as soon as I picked her up. Every time we turn on our Christmas tree lights, Addison says "Wow!" and laughs! It is so cute!

14 Months

It's in the 50's here in San Diego, so we're busting out the winter coats!

Addison turned 14 months yesterday! She is saying new words every day and imitating us a lot. It is fun to see her little mind work and amazing to see what she knows. The other day, she took a potholder out of the kitchen drawer, said "Hot, hot!" and pointed to the oven. Genius, I tell you! She is getting 4 teeth all at the same time right now, which has led to some hard nights and some crankiness. Not sure if it's the teeth or the age, but this week she has started throwing little tantrums with shrieking/loud squealing and has even thrown herself on the floor a couple of times! Overall though, she continues to be such a happy, smiley girl with so many laughs and kisses she just melts my heart! We love you Addison!

Addison loves to dance! (Please excuse my singing and the messy kitchen!)

Who needs toys?

Gotta have a remote in there too!

Addison still loves her accessories and lately it has been her shoes! She loves to go into her bedroom and get her shoes out of her dresser and walk around with them! A girl can never have enough shoes!

Thanksgiving

Too cool for school!
Yummy dinner!

Daddy playing with Katie and Tyler

We had a great Thanksgiving with Chris' family in Long Beach. Addison loved playing with her cousins Katie and Tyler and thought she was just as big as them! She also loved the Thanksgiving food and ate about as much as I did! She is such a great eater!

Addison's new words

Addison has been talking up a storm lately! She imitates us a lot and has quite a few spontaneous words. Her articulation isn't the clearest, but hopefully with mommy as a Speech Therapist, that will improve!
p.s. Excuse the bed head and the drool!

"Help me." (which also sounds very similar to "upee" (up) and "opee" (open)

I wanted Addison to show me blowing kisses, which she does all the time to us and to any stranger she sees. Of course, she just wanted to say her new favorite word of the week!

Trip to Texas

With Grandad

Loving Aunt Shannon
Petting Maggie
Having fun with Grandma!

The beautiful bride, Karen

This past weekend, Addison and I flew to Dallas for one of my best friend's weddings. She did pretty well on the flights and had fun visiting all the relatives!

13 Months

Addison turned 13 months on Monday! Here are 13 things she is doing lately:

1) She is walking everywhere! No more crawling, and even trying to run!

2) With the walking comes a lot of falling and bumping, but she is so tough and just gets right back up and keeps going!

3) She is very attached to her mommy lately and will cling to me in new places, with new people, if I leave the room, etc. (I am treasuring every moment, since she used not to cuddle very much!)

4) She now has 2 bottom and 2 top teeth and is working on 2 more on top.

5) She is still a great eater! She wants everything that mommy and daddy are eating and will do the "more" sign and point to everything on the table and everything we're eating (even if it's already on her highchair tray!).

6) She is still a great sleeper (except when teething!) and sleeps from 7 pm-6:30 a.m. and takes 2 naps still (most days).

7) She is having more of an opinion now and will throw mini tantrums sometimes if told "no" or if we take something away that she's not supposed to have.

8) She is always giving me big hugs and kisses, which I absolutely love!

9) She loves playing with her dolls and being "mommy"- pushing them in a stroller, feeding them a bottle, covering them with a blanket-it's so cute!

10) She is imitating a lot of words and saying about 13 words spontaneously.

11) She loves other kids and waves to them, smiles and gives her friends hugs.

12) She continues to be such a happy girl and always has a big smile on her face with her cute dimples!

13) She is such a joy to be around and truly brings a smile to my face every second of the day!

Halloween festivities

Hard to get a good picture of 3 kids under 2!
Happy Halloween!

Drawing Addison's pumpkin

Daddy's pumpkin

Oops! Can't eat that!

Loving the inside of the pumpkin!

On the train at the carnival

Well, we have definitely had a fun weekend! On Friday we joined our friends Kelly and Avery at Kelly's school carnival. Although Addison couldn't really participate in any of the games, she enjoyed riding the little train they had. On Saturday morning, we carved/colored pumpkins. Addison loved reaching into the slimy inside of the pumpkin and go mad when I took it away to carve mine! Saturday night, we went to our friends Kim, Gary, Cian and Cadhla's house for a Halloween-themed dinner and trick-or-treating. Addison had a great time and she must be worn-out because she took a 2 hour nap this morning and is still sleeping for her afternoon nap after 2 1/2 hours (it also could possibly be due to the 5 a.m. wake-up time this morning-daylight savings??).
